Being a Scottish supporter is never easy, particularly after this weekend, but among the pain there were celebrations as Scotland A hammered England Saxons 35-0 - a game which drew 4,127 on a sub-zero night in the Borders. Four tries from Hawick's Stuart Hogg, Duncan Weir, Rory Lawson and Matt Scott gave England only their third defeat in 21 games and the win makes it 5 out of 5 for the A team at Netherdale. Hogg's first half try was one of the best you will see all season and the thousands of viewings of our exclusive video of match highlights illustrates how big this result was. Watch it here.

Lee Jones won his first full cap against Scotland and the Selkirk lad had a good debut. But that was the only good news as Scotland, our U20s and Women's teams were beaten.

Scotland lost 13-6 but had many chances to win. We scored no tries for the fourth game in a row and voices demanding change have increased to deafening status. Coach Andy Robinson has been criticised for bad decision making and poor selection choices and to his credit he addressed the fact that the Scotland captain should be a regular team player after dropping two captains at the World Cup. Now he must listen to fans who are fed up of under-achievers and failure. It's time to change the backline. Stuart Hogg, Matt Scott and Duncan Weir should be involved against Wales and we must start with Greig Laidlaw and Mike Blair at 9 and 10.  Read my assessment here.

Chris Paterson said thanks and farewell before the game on Saturday; now it is time to say goodbye and thanks to others. Robinson must make changes.
