Unfortunately our website has ended. We would like to thank everyone for supporting our venture over the last 10 years. It’s been a struggle to keep it going to the high standard we always tried to achieve, keeping everyone informed about Borders Rugby. We would like to thank Fraser Brydon from Fraser James Partnership for his sponsorship in this time which allowed us to continue, but with Fraser James Partnership recently amalgamating with another company we are no longer in a position to offer this service. A cutback version has never been of interest. Our live score updates during games on a Saturday afternoon was something we were particularly proud of as it was the only place on Twitter which provided this service for the Premiership and NL1 leagues as well as Borders club games.
The many filming restrictions imposed on us over the past few years have made things impossible to push ahead with our plans for the future. When there were no restrictions we always brought out TV highlights on a Saturday night or Sunday morning at the latest – that was important to us. This was our way of promoting club rugby and treating it with the respect it deserved, particularly at a time when club rugby coverage needs as much support and coverage as it can get.
The good news is that we are now involved with the brand new website for the Kings of the 7s which will bring you up to date news and videos from that tournament. It also features pages relating to The Border League and soon will also have a South of Scotland Rugby page. You can connect to this website here.
Once again, thanks to everyone who has supported us on our journey over the past 10 years. It is now time to seek new opportunities away from rugby and to that end we have exciting plans which will enable us to do that. In the meantime the website will remain live so people can enjoy the vast archive we have built up over the years, but from now the website will no longer be updated and the facebook and twitter feeds have gone.
