Melrose march on with sixth bonus point win – Gala still unbeaten in NL1

Melrose went over 40 points again in the BT Premiership with a win over second placed Stirling County on the road by 40-27 to maintain their unbeaten record, all with try bonuses. Ali Miller was this week’s hat-trick hero as Melrose ran in 6 tries in all, with Fraser Thomson, Sam Pecqueur and Ross McCann also getting over the paint. Craig Jackson converted five of them. It was the perfect start for Melrose as they raced into a 19-0 lead which County couldn’t come back from.
