Gregor Young (pictured) has been announced as captain of Jedforest for another season. The centre and former Scottish 7s international will lead his side into the BT National 1 campaign starting in September. Paulo Ferreira has been named as Vice Captain. Selkirk have signed Prop Luke Pettie from Gala and will also be joined at Philiphaugh by Second Row/Flanker Callum Leckey from Belfast Harlequins and Utility Back Steven Hamilton, previously a Dalkeith player. Meanwhile Melrose have signed Grant Shiells, the former Kelso, Rotherham and Edinburgh Rugby front row specialist. Richard Taylor is stepping down from player duties to take up the position of defence coach at the club.
