Melrose, Gala, Hawick and Jedforest get bonus point wins



Melrose bounced back with a good win at home to Stirling in the Premiership 29-14, Gala gained maximum points at Boroughmuir with a 28-19 victory which lifted them into seventh spot and Hawick beat Selkirk 35-18 in their game in the top division to keep the pressure on fourth placed Currie, who also won today at Glasgow Hawks. Ayr won the top of the table battle with Heriot’s 20-8. Meanwhile in National League 1 the top four teams all won and that included Jedforest in their away game at Peebles, getting over the line 24-16. Kelso were edged out by GHA at home while in National 3, Berwick and RHC drew 9-9.
