Gala YM beat their rivals Earlston at Netherdale today in the Borders Shield competition, winning by 27-17 while in the other game Berwick won comfortably 57-5 on the road at Hawick Linden.
In the East Region Bowl competition, Walkerburn won 94-12 against Caledonia Thebans. Walkerburn have been struggling to continue for a number of months, so this result is a welcome return to form.
