Four of the five Borders teams who took part in yesterday’s Club Cup competitions got through to the semi finals. Melrose returned to Marr for the second time in seven days to bet them 24-10 in the BT Cup quarter finals while Hawick overcame Ayr 20-13 at Mansfield Park. The two will join Stirling County, who became the first team this season to beat Edinburgh Accies in any competition, while Watsonians got past a spirited Boroughmuir in the local derby at Myreside.
In the new BT National League Cup, Kelso beat GHA in a Cup and NL1 League double header at Poynder Park to win 28-26, with Craig Dods (pictured) landing a touchline conversion to grab the win. View highlights here.
