Home > Video Bulletins > Melrose rampant start to season continues in BT Premiership – Gala and Selkirk unbeaten in BT NL1
Melrose hit the half century mark for the second time in a row to leave them at the top of the BT Premiership after two rounds. After a steady start against Boroughmuir, Melrose found second gear and cruised to a very comfortable win at The Greenyards. Sam Pecqueur scored his first ever hat-trick in the BT Premiership with Bruce Colvine and Fraser Thomson both getting a brace and a clutch of other touchdowns in their 51-15 win. Not so good news for Hawick, who are yet to record a win. They went to Bridgehaugh to take on Stirling County and with the score 30-29 to the hosts near the end there was a lot to play for. The Greens capitulated though, conceding 26 points without reply and going down 56-29.
In National 1 Gala and Selkirk stay unbeaten over Dundee High and Aberdeen Grammar respectively. Kelso got their first win of the season against Musselburgh while Jedforest lost at Raeburn Place against Edinburgh Accies. Watch highlights of Edinburgh Accies and Jedforest here.
