Back in 1933 Selkirk won the Peebles 7s, but it took 83 years before that would be achieved again, and today was the day when it happened. Few gave the Souters a chance after trailing 19-0 to Hawick in Round 1, but back they came to win that tie 26-19, then knockout Gala and Boroughmuir on their way to beating Edinburgh Accies in the Final 38-7. Dashton Wellman was voted Player of the Tournament after his fine performances for Selkirk. Jed top the table still after Round 6 with 39 points, with a 9 points lead over Watsonians, who lost to Melrose in Round 1. Watch highlights here.
