Super Jed rock league leaders on the road – Peebles shock GHA but Selkirk and Hawick defeated

Just one Borders-based game survived the weather today with Peebles’ game at home to GHA in National League 1 going ahead at The Gytes, and their 5-try win by 38-19 (after trailing 12-0) surprised everyone apart from the Peebles faithful themselves. Donald Anderson and Steven Hamilton scored a brace each while Kenny Clyde dotted down the other.  Elsewhere the big game in that division was at Myreside with Jedforest coming from 12-0 down to beat the runaway league leaders 18-12 with a three try haul courtesy of winger Rory Marshall (2) and Lewis Young.  Jed remain in fourth but have closed the gap on third placed Dundee. Watch highlights here.  In the Premiership Hawick lost 31-5 at Glasgow Hawks – their only score coming from a try by Wiaan Griebenhow. Selkirk had a day to forget as they lost 78-0 at league leaders Ayr.
